How do I check out a book?  Present the book with your ID at the front desk.  You MUST have your ID to check out a book.

How long do I get to keep the book? About two weeks.  Books are due on Mondays.  Please check the due date card to see when your book is due.

What happens if I turn my book in late? If your book is over 3 weeks late, you will be charged a $5.00 late fine. If you turn your book in before it is 3 weeks late, you will NOT be charged.

What if I want to keep the book longer?  Bring the book to the library's front desk and say that you would like to RENEW the book.

What books are NOT available for checkout? Our REFERENCE collection is not available for check out. These books have a red label on the spine of the book.  You may use these books while in the library, and photocopy pages as needed (copies are $0.15 per copy)

The book that I want is already checked out.  What do I do? See Mrs. Fenner to place a hold on the book. When it is returned, she will notify you.

How do I look for a book?  You may use one of the two Look-Up stations.  Simply type the title, author or subject in the search box and click the appropriate button.  For example:  If you want to know if we have Twilight, type "Twilight" and press the title button; If you want to know if we have any books by Stephenie Meyer, type "Meyer, Stephenie" and press the author button; If you want to know if we have any books on vampires, type "vampire" and press the subject button.  A list of titles should appear.  Double click on a title to locate the book's call number and find out more information.
